Mulling Spices

Available from June through to December each year, our popular range of mulling spices can be found in over 400 independent outlets across the UK, including Majestic Wine, Blue Diamond Garden Centres and many independent farm shops, gift shops and garden centres. 

We love mulled drinks for many reasons, not least its fortifying sweet and spicy flavours; ideal in the cold and damp months of winter

Adding spices to beverages is an ancient idea. The Romans often added spices and honey to wine to make it palatable whereas in Medieval Europe, spices and herbs were added to ale for the same reason, a tradition which remained popular in the UK up to the late 1960's.

Spiced drinks are popular across the world to including Chai latte the Indian sub continent and spiced coffee in the Middle East.
